NEWS RELEASE MSI INTERNATIONAL EXPANDS TO NEW OFFICE Innovative Workplace Design Has Unique Employee Amenities KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. April 2005 — MSI International, a leading marketing research firm specializing in global consumer and business-to-business research, has moved to new offices, doubling its former square footage. The firm is now located at 650 Park Avenue in King of Prussia, a stone’s throw from its previous location but light-years ahead in terms of available space, technology capabilities and progressive workplace design. The new headquarters’ 20,000 square feet accommodates 100 employees, with ample room for expansion. The open-plan design has no private offices – even for the company president and executives. However, there are several common meeting areas, four private conference rooms, three kitchens and even a lactation room for employees who are breast-feeding. Technology upgrades abound. All work areas and conference rooms are wired for Internet access. Plasma monitors are built into conference rooms. Besides standard network connections, wireless access is provided for all collaboration and dining areas. Lunchroom televisions broadcast news, business and sports programming. “We wanted a space that would encourage collaboration and creative thinking. Our employees are our key asset, and we believe they deserve a workplace that reflects our confidence in them,” says Paul Strasser, MSI president and founder. Designed by d2 Solutions of Conshohocken with an eye to modern practicality, the workspace uses contemporary materials and colors. Sandblasted glass panels lend privacy to individual work zones. Accent walls in bright orange, steel blue and sage green add jolts of energy. Several large abstract paintings, personally chosen by Mr. Strasser, complete the modern aesthetic. All conference rooms and many individual work zones feature “whiteboard” walls to facilitate brainstorming. The building is owned by Brandywine Realty Trust, which worked closely with d2 Solutions and MSI. Asked what advice he would give to business owners facing a move, MSI executive vice-president Hugh Jeffers says: “Make sure your design firm understands your vision, for your workspace and your business. Visit other installations to view their work. Then pay attention to details – the number of daily decisions is staggering, but well worth your attention.” ABOUT MSI MSI’s current clients include leading global, national and regional firms
